We believe a hungerfree world is possible.

In many parts of the world, hunger is a daily reality.

Despite decades of progress, generations of people are stuck in vicious cycles of poverty and hunger – not knowing where their next meal might come from or whether their hard work can withstand life’s setbacks.

We can change this.

We believe a hungerfree world is possible – where everyone has enough food for today and for tomorrow. World Vision’s HungerFree is a global movement that unites people together to ensure everyone has the nutritious food they need today and the skills and resources they need to be hungerfree for a lifetime.

To truly live in a hungerfree world, we must:

Empower communities to become hungerfree. We must equip people with the training, resources and tools to increase their agricultural production, feed their families, generate a sustainable income and sustain life’s setbacks.

Ensure food assistance for the most vulnerable. When families fall on rough times, often affected by events outside their control, there must be safety nets, such as food distributions, school feeding and food vouchers, to provide support and lift them back up.

Transform policies, structures and political priorities. Lastly, a hungerfree world will only be possible when governments and world leaders do their part to prioritise investments in agriculture and development, as well as ensure proper nutrition and safety nets for the most vulnerable.
